SalesFuel / AdMall

Built for the person making the call. AdMall assembles a category profile, a customer profile and a co-op check for a specific prospect.

Who it's for

Local media sellers and the emerging-agency market. SalesFuel reports that AdMall is used by more than 15,000 media sales and marketing professionals across the United States. The company has been at this a long time — it marked 35 years in 2024 — and everything in the product is shaped around a single premise: give the rep knowledge about the client's business, customers and competitors so the discovery call is better.

What it sets out to do

To replace the hour of unstructured research before a call with a structured brief. For a given business category, AdMall supplies a profile of how that category operates, what its margins and seasonality look like, what it typically spends on advertising, what its customers look like, and what questions are worth asking. Alongside that sit real-time digital marketing insights on the specific prospect and a co-op advertising database covering programs available to SMBs and B2B firms — including, notably, programs that now cover digital services.

The company's positioning is explicit that this is proprietary research a competitor cannot get from a search engine or a chatbot, which is a fair claim about the survey assets underneath it.

Where the data comes from

Two proprietary survey programs plus licensed third-party business data. AudienceSCAN profiles more than 20,000 consumers, producing purchase-intent and media-behavior profiles that can be attached to a category. B2B BuyerSCAN surveys more than 2,000 C-suite decision-makers annually on how they actually make buying decisions — which is the credibility research the platform leans on. Category economics come from industry and government sources; the co-op database is compiled from manufacturer and franchisor programs.

Adjacent products in the SalesFuel line — SalesCred and TeamTrait — address credibility and hiring rather than market data.

When it's current, and when it goes stale

Digital insights on a named prospect are refreshed near real time. The survey research is annual, so a BuyerSCAN finding is current for roughly a year and directionally useful for longer. Category economics move slowly and hold up well.

Co-op program details are the component most likely to be out of date, because manufacturers change accrual rates, deadlines and eligible media without announcement. Always verify a co-op program directly with the manufacturer before promising a client the money exists.

Why it matters

It is the only tool here built around the unit of work a local seller actually performs: one meeting, one account. Everything else answers a market-level or brand-level question. AdMall answers what should I know before I sit down with this dentist.

The co-op database deserves particular attention in a small market, because co-op is money already allocated that frequently goes unclaimed. Finding an unused accrual for a dealer or a franchisee is often an easier sale than arguing for new budget.

When updates land

  • AudienceSCAN — annual consumer survey refresh.
  • B2B BuyerSCAN — annual, surveying 2,000-plus decision-makers.
  • Digital and prospect insights — continuous.
  • Co-op database — updated as programs are published and revised.
  • Category profiles — reviewed on a rolling schedule.

How it gets compiled

Survey panels are fielded and weighted to national population and business benchmarks, then indexed by category so that a finding can be expressed as how this category's customers differ from average. Category profiles combine industry association data, government statistics and SalesFuel's own research into a standard template applied consistently across hundreds of business types.

The template is the product. Consistency across categories is what lets a rep who has never called on a category walk in sounding prepared.
